By executing powerful instructions in a single clock cycle, the ATmega168 achieves throughputs approaching 1 MIPS per MHz allowing the system designer to optimize power consumption versus processing speed.
The ATMega168 comes in 28 pin DIP package. 16K of program space. 23 I/O lines, 6 of which are channels for the 10-bit ADC. Runs up to 20MHz with external crystal. Package can be programmed in circuit.
